Our CRAMAN manipulator can be used for the quick and easy holding of NDT probes for circumferential NDT evaluation of pipework or flat plate structures and can be operated and installed by a single operator.
The CRAMAN manipulator device would normally be used for time of flight detection (TOFD) and corrosion mapping of circumferential welds but is designed on a modular basis which allows it to be used in a wide variety of applications and in configurations ranging from a simple hand held unit to a fully automated manipulator.
This modular device has been designed for easy installation and operation by a single operator. The unique single overhead belt drive system allows inspection of the entire circumference of the pipe while still allowing short set up times, typically less than a minute, for cost effective inspection.
If more accurate fingerprinting of the welds is required, the CRAMAN can operate on a simple track thus allowing precise axial location. The use of the belt to secure the crawler further increases versatility by allowing attachment to any pipe material including stainless steel and non-ferrous metal.
The low clearance and ability to be fitted to pipes with diameters ranging from 75 mm (3) and 305 mm (12) promotes versatility and allows access to those difficult to reach areas.
Options:
- Non-motorized versions
